A charitable gift annuity is a simple contract between you and Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation, Inc.whereby the donor irrevocably transfers assets (cash or securities) to the charity in return for the charity’s agreement to pay the designated annuitant(s) fixed payments for life. The fixed dollar amount to paid to the annuitant(s) depends upon the age(s) of the annuitant(s) at the time of the gift and remains constant for life. Cash gifts allow maximum tax-free payments and gifts of securities minimize capital gains taxes.

You can choose on a one or two life annuity and how frequently payments will be made – quarterly, semi-annually; annually; cash or securities to fund your gift. The older the annuitant, the higher the rate of return. The annuitant(s) age is as of his/her closet birthday. The rate of return is the same for men and women.

Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation pay the rates of return recommended by the American Council on Gift Annuities (ACGA), an association of charities offering gift annuities.
