Georgia Sheriffs’ has moved our headquarters to Madison in Morgan County. 

Our new office is home to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes Foundation (Foundation), Georgia Sheriffs’ Association (Association), Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes (Youth Homes), and the Sheriffs’ Retirement Fund staff.

Background on Building Occupants

The Foundation was established for the purpose of raising funds and managing investments for Youth Homes and supporting Youth Homes’ overall goals. www.gsyhfoundation.org

The Association was established to promote and further professionalize the Office of Sheriff in order to enhance public safety throughout the state. www.georgiasheriffs.org

The Youth Homes was established to give Georgia’s most at-risk children the love, safety, and stability needed to become mature, successful adults. www.georgiasheriffsyouth.org

The Sheriffs’ Retirement Fund of Georgia was created by an act of the Georgia General Assembly in 1963. The purpose of the Fund is to provide a source of revenue for the purpose of providing benefits to the elected officials serving in the capacity of Sheriff of the counties of Georgia.

Use of Building

The building will be used by the Foundation and Youth Homes for administrative activities, including fundraising and scholarship awards. The Association will use the building for administrative activities, including the design of public safety programs, and training activities for law enforcement. The Sheriffs’ Retirement Fund staff will use the building for administrative activities. In times of emergency, the building may be used by the Association as a statewide command center for Georgia sheriffs.
